Exfoliation and Healthy Skin

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Exfoliation and healthy skin go hand-in-hand. We at Cosmesis Skincare can’t recommend exfoliating enough — exfoliation leads to healthy skin. How exactly does it have such a wonderful affect? Well, exfoliation sloughs off dead skin cells, and once those are removed, skin is softer. Dead skin prevents moisture, nutrients and oxygen from reaching new skin cells being formed, so skincare products don’t exactly have an easy time reaching them.

You can make it easy for moisturizers and acne treatments to penetrate the skin by exfoliating. Typically, exfoliation skincare products are recommended for oily skin in order to remove clogged pores. Though it’s not recommended to harshly scrub acne-prone skin, mild exfoliation products may help acne treatments penetrate problem areas of the skin so that they’re effective.

Another benefit of exfoliation is reducing hyper pigmentation, acne scars and discoloration. Exfoliation can actually work to help fade scars and acne faster.

Exfoliation Skincare from Cosmesis

Cosmesis is proud to offer exfoliation skincare products. A favorite is our Self Microdermabrasion, an exfoliate that removes old cells at the skin’s surface. By doing this, Self Microdermabrasion can help reveal more younger-looking skin. This exfoliate contains natural tea extracts with powerful antioxidants and vitamins. Exfoliation leads to healthy skin, especially with Self Microdermabrasion.

If you’re a Self Microdermabrasion fan — and you likely will be once you try it — don’t forget we have two skincare kits: the Self Microdermabrasion Anti-Aging Kit, for sensitive or mature skin, and the Self Microdermabrasion Cleansing Kit, great for oily or acne-prone skin.

For acne, don’t miss our Scrub. This is an extremely effective foaming cleanser with antioxidants and red tea, and it can help improve the appearance of the skin.

Self Microdermabrasion from Cosmesis Skincare is the next generation in micro-exfoliation. If you’ve ever felt like your skin isn’t its smoothest or softest, it may be because of old cells at the skin’s surface. Exfoliate your skin and reveal younger-looking skin with this natural and effective skincare product that wipes away old cells and allows the more supple skin underneath to absorb the formulation’s many antioxidants such as tea extracts.

The tea extracts, specifically red tea, in Self Microdermabrasion are rich in alpha-hydroxy acids, vitamin C, vitamin E, flavonoids and natural antioxidants. One of the many benefits of this skincare product is that by removing old cells, the skin underneath can then allow nutrients from complementary antiaging products like Dark Circle Serum and Wrinkle Relaxer to more easily penetrate the skin.

Safe for most skin types, Self Microdermabrasion works to lessen the appearance of fine lines, age spots, scars, freckles and sun damage. You can use it on your face, V of the neck. exposed scalp area and chest. Those with sensitive skin should test the product by using it in just a small area first.

It’s really easy to use Self Microdermabrasion. A little goes a long way: Place some on your fingertip and apply to your skin, using a little bit of water to help apply it easier. After massaging it in for about 15 seconds, you’ll want to rinse it off completely. You’ll likely be in awe of how smooth and soft your skin feels after exfoliating.

Self Microdermabrasion was developed by pioneering dermatologist Gary Goldfaden, MD, who has developed novel solutions for the most common skin problems encountered by maturing adults. To purchase Self Microdermabrasion, just visit its product page at Cosmesis Skincare.
